# Time

Current time and timezone conversion. No network, no filesystem, no credentials — the minimal example of a server that can do nothing harmful.

- **Publisher of the server:** Model Context Protocol
- **Upstream:** https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/servers
- **Documentation:** https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/servers/tree/main/src/time
- **Transport:** stdio (local process)
- **Command:** `uvx mcp-server-time`

## Credentials and configuration

None required.

## Tools (2)

- `get_current_time` — Return the current time in an optional timezone.
- `convert_time` — Convert a time between two timezones.

## Risk

Declared risk: **low**. None of the listed tools is named as a dedicated write operation (judged from tool names only; a general-purpose tool such as a SQL or fetch call can still have effects — see the declared risk).
